| Biewers So my question is, Do biewers have undercoat? Also, for those who have biewers, how big were your babies at 8 weeks and current size? I'm asking because there's a biewer puppy that I'm interested in; she is 2.3 lbs and just turned 8 weeks today! I would really appreciate your input!

| I can't help with the weight as Bogie was 9 months old when we adopted him. Biewers are like Yorkies as far as coat goes....no undercoat Good luck on your search!!!

| The general rule of thumb is to triple their 8 week weight or double their 12 week weight. But in my experience you have to do that and add a pound. |

| Even though Biewers do not have an undercoat, they do separate into silky and cottony. My Dori has very thick, coarse cottony fur. Although shiny and healthy, it mats easily. I keep her in an "aDorible" puppy cut!!

| Bogie is a cotton coated Biewer too. I kept him in full coat until this past winter. I was tired of torturing him with the combing. He is styling with the Joey/Zhoie cut now..

| Love that tail; looks like a bigger Biewer. Weight? My Dori is 5.5 lbs.

| They don't have an undercoat. As for the weight, if your breeder knows their lines behind their breedings, they should be able to give you a very good *estimate* of how big this girl will get. On a guess, she could be up to 8 lbs based on her weight right now, but then again, she could be only 4 1/2 - 5 lbs. Your breeder is probably the best source for the info, and/or any of their previous puppy buyers that have Biewers from the parents this girl has.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | That is such a cute style for the Biewers; that is how I have team furry cut down when they are done in the show ring. I think it is wonderful Michelle that you can do the styling yourself. Jen, as far as puppy-size, what does the breeder say? The puppy can grow up to be as small as 5# or as big as 8-8.5#. The information from the breeder should be able to give you a good guide as to what to expect. |

Here's a picture of the puppy. I keep resizing the other ones, but they are still too big so I guess this will have to do.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Jenn, the 8 week weight for this puppy is very average at this point. My last litter at 8 weeks the girls were just under 2#. I expect that both Snickers and Almond Joy will be about 5-6#, with Snickers being the smaller one of the two, she will be closer to the 5#. My mom was 6# and the sire is 3.5# if that helps. |
