| color changes at what age did you start to notice a big change in your baby? Maci is 7 months old and i haven't really started to notice a huge change yet. so far she looks like she has/ will have the "proper" coloring (which is what i REALLY want!) my husband also says he doesn't want to let her hair grow long but after reading a few stories here on the board i'm terrified to even take her for a trim!! i want to let her hair grow as long as possible, i think they're so gorgeous like that. & bc i don't have a little girl's hair to brush and put bows in so she's all i've got hahaha.

| Maci is precious. My first Yorkie stayed dark, but my other three lightened and changed when they were still puppies. The color starts to break first usually on the top of the head. If you are worried about the groomer, bring a photo with you. I would also write all instructions down for the groomer. More than once a groomer cut the hair around the eyes when I asked them not to. I hope your little girl brings you much love, happiness, and laughter. I am sure she has already changed your life and stolen your heart.

| Maci is adorable. Color and changes are determined by genetics, of course. Max's head didn't turn until he was 2. He still had the dark stripe up the center of his head.

| she has the stripe as well and i notice in the last several months she has a brown stripe in the middle of her nose too. it used to be solid black but only i seem to notice it. as my parents say "the little rat never stays still long enough to look at her" hahaha makes my mom so mad that i get pictures of her all the time and the week they kept her while we were on vaca she couldn't once get one bc she was always moving.

| Is Maci a parti? I see she has a white spot on her chest? I agree with the others, her head is the first to start showing. When we got Uni at 12 weeks, we didn't know anything and her head was already changing. We thought she was balding! She had her "racing stripe" between her eyes until she was about two, that too forever to grow out. Her body changed light really quickly though. I hear that silky coats turn quicker and cotton coats stay darker and change later (but overall grow faster). Grow her hair out if that's what you want, despite the hubby. He's not the one brushing anyway right? LOL I used to cut Uni in a puppy cut until she was about 2, come to find out bf wanted her hair long! oops.
