Donating YT 4000 Club Member | It's that time of year. Please remember that the inside of a car gets HOT during these warmer days. Too hot for a child or a dog to be safe. In one of those horribly ironic incidents, Children's Hospital of Atlanta put on a demonstration yesterday showing how quickly a car heats up. Just a few miles away in the parking lot of a daycare center, a 4 month old infant died after being left in the car. Protect your kids, protect your pets. These types of accidents are 100% avoidable. If you see someone leaving their pet or child in an unsafe situation CALL 911! I'd rather face a p****d off person than a deal with a dead child or pet.

| I can't believe people are stupid enough to leave their children in a car and say they forgot the child was in the car. I won't even take my dogs out if it is too hot. Thanks for posting this reminder.

| A very timely reminder. Dogs shouldn't be left for even "just a second"- don't take the dogs if you are going to make stops.

| I agree that people can be so stupid about this. How many times do you get in your closed up car in the summer & just sit there before you open the windows or turn on the air...it's hotter than heck! That poor baby. I wondered, can you really call 911 for an animal being left in the car? I wouldn't hesitate to if it's ok.

Thanks. Hopefully the circumstances wont arise but I'm sure they will at some time over the next few months.
