Yorkie Talker | Soooooo excited! Hi Everyone! Well, after 20 yrs of dreaming of having my own Yorkie, I think it's finally going to happen. I can hardly believe it! I've always loved cats, and I have one now that's almost 15. I visited a yorkie breeder today. After 25 yrs of breeding, she and her husband have decided to stop breeding and they're giving away their adult yorkies...yes, that means free! I found the perfect little boy. He just turned 8 yrs old and is very quiet and laid back. He just loves to be with you and he also likes to go for walks. He's missing a few teeth, but is otherwise healthy. He weighs ab 5 lbs. I'm not getting him for a few weeks, so I'll need to get things ready for him. My cat is my priority, so I want to make sure I introduce them slowly and properly. He has lived w/cats before and being so laid back, I'm pretty sure he won't bother her. Any comments, advice, is welcome! And BTW, his name is Mick. Thanks for reading! |

| Welcome! I can hear your excitement and I'm so happy for you and Mick. He is one lucky little fella to be coming to his forever home with you. If he's been around cats, he should do well with yours. Just take it slow. CONGRATS! When will he be coming home? Can't wait to see pictures

YT 500 Club Member | I was always a cat person too. It's funny how Yorkie people are often cat people. Sometimes I think my Yorkie acts more like a cat. We had a 23 lb. cat when we got our baby. Sophie was very little when we got her, about 10 wks. We were worried about how the cat would do. He was a very laid back cat, but Sophie ruled the roost for nearly 10 years. We just recently had to put our precious kitty down. He was about 18 yrs. Sophie really misses him, even thought you would never have believed she liked him. She herded him everywhere and made sure he was in his place at all times. Enjoy your new baby. How wonderful.

Yorkie Talker | You are all so supportive. Thank you, esp for the encouragement ab Yorkies and cats. I don't want Gracie (my cat) to ever feel like she's being replaced. I have a pic I'm trying to upload, but my smartphone isn't that smart (lol)...I'll try from my PC! |
