| Looking for Lhasa/Yorkie near Athens, GA We love dogs and it was that love that led us to buy a scraggly mutt in Watkinsville, GA about a year and a half ago. We were told she was half Lhasa, half Yorkie. She became the love of our life...until she died suddenly recently at only 18 months of age. I'm sure many of you have been through similar heartaches but everywhere I turn I see her. We have many other dogs, including a Silkie that was her best friend and the only other "house" dog. I'm desperately hoping that I can find another beautiful little girl who wants to be his friend and a messy farm princess. If anyone knows somewhere I may be able to find one, I would be grateful. Here's a pic |

| I'm so sorry for your loss. It definitely feels like something is missing after one passes. We just lost a girl last November. I would try to find a rescue in your area or near your area. There are some ppl associated w rescues and who foster rescues on this site. Maybe they would know where the closest one is to you if you need help finding one. Good luck to you - I hope you find another precious little soul to be your little buddy. |

| You might want to check petfinder.com You can search both Yorkies and Lhasas in your area by entering your zipcode. They usually have many mixbreed dogs from area shelters. You can never replace the one you lost, but hopefully you can share your love with a new little girl who desperately needs a home. |

| I'm so sorry for your loss I know what's it's like, we adopted a Pit mix puppy from a shelter a few years ago and lost her a week later due to an illness. Awww, my Beagle's name is Darla. I agree that you may want to start your search on Petfinder.com. Local shelters and some rescues post adoptable dogs there, so you may be able to find a dog that needs a loving home as much as you need a great dog. Good luck to you

| Sorry for your sudden loss. I wish I knew of someone I also live in Georgia. My breeder has retired her females and had them spayed. I will ask her if she knows someone. We love Athens, usually there every football Saturday. GO DAWGS

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I'm so sorry for your loss. It's hard to open yourself up to another dog after a sudden loss. I agree that Petfinders.com is a great place to start looking. There are quite a few rescues within the Metro Atlanta area.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Hello and welcome to yorkietalk. I am so very sorry for your loss, such an adorable girl, may she rest in peace. I was reading the comments on the fb page and noticed you have two others that are ill now, and you've found out the cause? My prayers will be with your others, hoping they recover fully!

| I am sorry for you loss, may I suggest you look at either Atlanta Pet Rescue or Small Dog Animal Rescue both in Atlanta. They are both wonderful rescues and usually can help you find the perfect pet aka new member of you family.
