| I did it!!! Hah! I did it. I successfully trimmed Gizmo's toenails without the Peticure. And I didn't nick the quick! My husband held him and fed him treats, while I trimmed his tootsies. He wasn't too happy, but the little piggy enjoyed the extra cookies. I know it's a dumb post, but I'm proud. I was terrified that I would get the quick.

| Well hooray for you. I have yet to do it. I am so afraid that I will be seeing blood all over the place that I just go to the groomers instead.

They do make the quick finder trimmers, but I don't quite know how accurate those are...Especially since Yorkie paws and nails are tiny. Any breeders or vet/vet techs know how accurate they are?

| I've cut Charlie's nails since day one, but he ALWAYS starts SCREAMING before I even actually touch the clippers to his nails! He's a big baby, haha. No blood yet for me, either. I think it gets easier and quicker with more practice. I try to keep his nails trimmed and filed, because we have a new coffee table and couch. |

| I've got a thing about fingernails and cuticles and that carries over to Tibbe. I used to trim his toenails just fine, got Gentle Paws and cannot go back for the life of me and I want to. I just don't think I can really get his nails short enough with the filing machine. I am almost phobic of having a dog scream through nail trimming and cannot do it right now. I am so proud of you for getting this done. If I had someone to hold Tibbe it would be such a help but I'd still be chicken! This is one thing I really struggle with, getting past the nail clipping again. You are brave and to be commended!!!!

| Good Job I am way too scared to this myself, I either have the groomer or vet do it for me. You should be proud, maybe someday i will work up the nerve.

| Me, too. Just brought a bit of red on Tibbe's 4th toe Wednesday. Still gives me shudders. I have a bad thing going with nails period. I wish I could grow a spine where they are concerned!!!

| Thanks everyone! I had to admit, I didn't like doing it but it had to be done. He was stubborn, but didn't whine. Plus he got lots of cookies. Little chub.
