| Yorkie Puppy Mill video/ Looking for a Charity? This puppy mill raid rescued 90 Yorkies. Since their hair never stops growing they become one giant hair mat when neglected. The second video is of the hair removal of one of them. This happened in 2009 so some of you may have seen this. I came across it while looking at current Missouri legislature against puppy mills. But I thought that for those looking to make holiday or end of year charitable donations these would be good people to give to. Humane Society of Missouri Here are the videos: It is so hard to see any dog being abused, but when they look so much like my sweet Daisy... it is just heartbreaking.

| Oh my gosh! I knew puppy mills were horrible, but not THIS horrible! Poor sweeties! They should lock the people who ran the puppy mill up in cages, never let them shower, and give them the bare minimum of care! But good job to the people who rescued them! Loving Owner of Vinny |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Just breaks your heart. Each one of us needs to do something to help prevent this. Even if it is donating money, time, a home or making more people aware of the disgusting people who do this to innocent animals. How can this country not do more!

| It just makes me cry every time I see a Video like this, as 3 of mine I adopted were from Puppymill's in Missouri. I adopted them thru PMR. I have to say My sweet Audrey was my most tragic baby and the life she had, but I know she had a wonderful 4 yrs with me, she was 8 yrs old when we adopted her. I do still have one Annie who we adopted in 2001 at the age of two, her health now is not the greatest . She still does have issues, but we work around them.

| Before getting a dog I used to be a huge fan of all the Animal Planet Humane Societies broadcasts. After I got my two Yorkies I was never able again to watch them. Now if I watch something like those you posted I get soooooo angry that indeed I want all those people locked in cages with filthy water no toilet no food and a backpack as heavy as a human, just to see what's it like for those poor creatures. I just can't fathom why even a puppy miller wouldn't just shave all their dogs bald to avoid grooming, just let the little guys out in a play area to run free and at least be like wild animals, to me that is the most imaginable form of abuse-a minimum of standards and effort-how could anyone stand the smell going in and out, and at least not clean it up for their own sake, obviously they didn't have any concern for the dogs whatsoever. I just don't feel we have room in our society-anywhere- for people like that. I keep thinking about the poor pup with "cage syndrome" just spinning and spinning...there needs to be tional legislation governing anyone who sells any dogs by any means to be subject to a licensing standard and to have regular inspections with a higher standard of care and punishment. Cattle going to slaughter are treated more humanely that puppy mill dogs. Last edited by concretegurl; 12-15-2010 at 01:07 AM. | |

| I also get mad every time I hear about making laws about prohibiting tail and ear cropping because it's not humane (which off course I applaud) and not making a law about all those criminals that abuse dogs for their lifetime Maria |
