| Looking for the "poop eating yorkie" specialist... Sorry that sounds absolutely horrible. But I couldn't resist the title sounded so funny. I've heard one person here on YT is the best at stopping Yorkies from eating poo, OK! so time to be serious. I thought for the longest time that Harley has been having horrible troubles with pooping on the tray, I'm starting to think that's not true and that he's back to his old antics of eating his poo, and thus moving it. YUCK! He stopped for the longest time after I switched him to grain free, he eats a bit of tripe each day and is on Now!. All of his treats are homemade so there are no grain products in his treats. (I either cook stuff, or soak his kibble in chicken broth for 10 seconds to soften). So what is this specific ritual I must do to stop him! he's 3lbs so he's tiny so please let me know the portions that are appropriate for his size. Thanks!

| I had this problem when my guys were pups But they seemed to have grown out of it Have you tried the pineapple approach? that makes the poop taste terrible to them..... As if they need any more help with that Change their food... The thing is that the smell is making them think that their poop is food.... And Not poop

| My girl, Pixie, eats her poop too. But she only eats it when she does inside house on the pad. When she goes outside she doesnt eat it. My vet told me she is trying to hide it, as the dogs in wild used to do, to hide their trails. I gave her pineapple, but if i give her pinapple Bruno wants too, and most of the time he eats her pineapple.. and she still eats her poop. Would be so nice to understand why she does it...

| You are looking for the YT Poop Guru. Her name is Megansmomma. Teddy has been the only dog to fail her protocol but she has not given up hope on him! We are trying a new version of her "remedy" Good luck- I feel your pain.

| A little birdie told me there are poop eaters in need of the POOP GURU's assistance. There are several thread on poop eating the the Yorkie Health & Died forum. Here is a link to a pretty good one from a few months ago. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-his-poop.html Maybe it's time to bump it back up since the poop eaters always come out of the woodwork after a poop eating confession. Pineapple is a great cure of poop eating. You need to be consistent otherwise it will not work. Feed it to all of your dogs as a treat. With the hard core poop eaters (Teddy Bumpkins) there are other foods that you can also try. But pineapple will work with almost all dogs~ Maybe we should move to the other thread instead of starting a brand new poop eating thread.

How is Bruno eating Pixie's pineapple? Are you putting it in a bowl or hand feeding? It should be hand fed as a treat between meals.

| It's on the bottom of my shoe Seriously~I was just thinking the same thing. There really is a lot of great information that I have put together in my head about stopping the poop eaters of YT. Sometimes like this morning it's easier to bump up an old thread. Edited to add~look at the post above to see why I said the above. Geez my brain is a little slow this morning.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | What kind of pineapple do you feed? The canned or fresh? How much do you give? It doesn't upset their tummies? I am sure it is mentioned somewhere but I have a tooth ache and not feeling up to searching. Thanks
