| How can I help my super excited 10 month old? Piper has become a super excitable dog. She will pee at any moment....any moment. If I catch her doing something she shouldn't, she pees. If I reach down to pet her, she pees. If I call her and she jumps on my lap, she pees. If a friend comes over and reaches down to pet her, she pees. Really it is getting infuriating. I know she can't help it, but how can enjoy and love on my pet when I am going to be covered in pee. Is this more of an age thing....a training thing....or a medical thing? With my work schedule and the holidays I don't know when I will be able to get her into the vet. I have started just avoiding her all together to keep from getting peed on. She still plays with my kids just fine so she is getting plenty of attention. Apparently adults have the pee button on them.

| It sounds like "submissive peeing:" Dogs: Submissive Peeing?, excitement urination, puppy primer

| It's best to just ignore it. And when she is excited, ignore her. No talk No touch No eye contact until she is calm. When you come home, No touch No talk No eye contact. When visitors come, ask them to follow the same rules. And NO affection when she's excited. Completely ignore her. She should outgrow the excitement peeing. |
