| Maybe adopting Harlow a friend? I was looking at the paper today and there was an ad that said free female puppy to a good home. I read on to find out they said it was a small black and tan terrier mix. Maybe a yorkie or yorkie mix? I contacted her to send me a picture. I hope I get to give this baby a good home.

| adding another fluff I am also considering adding another little one to our family. DH not to happy about it but I'm not sure what to do. One minute I want one, the next minute I'm not sure. Since we lost of lab this past September I haven't been away from Belle unless my DH is with her. I just can't bear the thought of leaving her home alone. She is 2 and was with TJ from the time we got her. She was with us when he passed away so she's know where he went. My DH says he can't decide who has the seperation anxiety, me or Belle. I feel like if we had another brother or sister for her I'd be able to leave them home together. It's not the only reason I want another baby, I would have lots of them if I could. I don't work anymore and stay home most of the time so I have lots of time to give them. I keep thinking I have Belle trained to my schedule of sleeping with my RA and Fibromyalgia and another puppy may not adjust the same way. Belle is crate trained that we cover her with a blanket and she makes no noise. If we got a rescue dog, I would never put it in a crate as that's what they were rescued from. However the adoption fees are almost the same as buying from a breeder. Any advise would be appreciated. Also info on if a male or female would get along best. Would Belle think I don't love her as much if there is another baby? Please Help, getting another dog would be a forever home. |

imo, I think if she was always around another dog from the time she was living with you, then of course she would be happiest with another dog companion. As far as the training questions go, I believe any dog can be trained to behave the way you want them to if you use the proper methods and are consistent with your training. Is she spayed? if so then a male or female friend would probably be ok...but if you have any friends with small dogs, ask them to bring their puppy over for a play date and see how your dog reacts. Thats always a good test before investing in another puppy yourself.
