| new clingy behavior Brady has always been so independent but the past month he has wanted in my lap or carried non stop. Not that I mind but I wondered what could've changed his personality so quickly. He's not sick. He's happy too. He's one year an 8 months and not neutered. Anyone have any clue? |

| I think I'd have a vet check him out... Any changes in the household or neighborhood? Any new dogs in the neighborhood?

| Does he appear poorly, is he being sick or has a runny bottom. If that's the case, take him to the vet. I'd say it's just he's becoming attached to you. Some days Teegy wants nothing to do with me and he's off chucking his toys around and chewing his reindeer antler. Other days he sits on my feet when I'm washing the dishes, curls up on my chest when I'm watching telly (which was fine when he was half his current size, now I can't see the telly hahahaha) Are you away from each other for long periods of time? |

| I read somewhere that yorkies are "snugglers" up till they're three. I guess it's possible some don't but do they generally change from that as they get older? Mine is a snuggler and is always in my lap if he's not up doing something else. And I don't want that to change. He takes naps with me too and its just the sweetest thing.... |

| I say cuddle and carry him more! But I know what you mean... maybe he's going through hormonal changes? Try playing with fun active games with him more, going on fun walks, etc. to boost his confidence level. Also would check with the vet to make sure he's 100% okay! |

| He feels great. My neighbor has a new german shepherd puppy 8wks old. Brady hates her and she's so sweet. He's never growled at another animal before. I think he's just becoming territorial with adult age setting in. Maybe that's why he's clinging... |

| Zhoie will be 2 on Jan. 25th and she is just the past few months been moving towards snuggling more and more. When I sit, she now wants on my lap. I just love it so. She is a bed hog and has always snuggled with me there.

| Thats weird beacause I read somewhere that they are clingy usually till 2 or 3 years. But you guys say its opposite . My boy is 1 yr 3 months and he's allways been right in my lap is im setting down and follows me alot from room to room . He will nap w me in my lap too . Iwas afraid w what i read that that behavior would stop when he got older.... hmmm i hope he doesnt. ;o) |

| Both my Yorkie Zach and my Shorkie Zoe are clingers especially Zoe. When she sees my house mate she cries until she is picked up and then she lays in her arms for a long while. Zach loves to be hugged but he's not quite as bad and Zoe. Zoe is going to be a year on Nov 30th and Zach is just 6 months old. I hope they never outgrow it because I love to cuddle with them. The problem is Zoe is over 12 lbs and she get's heavy after awhile. Zach weighs just about 5 lbs. I did notice they get clingy at night when they're tired. |
