| No longer working? Does anyone here use Frontline? We have used it since I have had Roxie and now it seems to NOT be working, I called the vet today and she said I could bring back the remainder and switch it for something different. Any suggestions on what really works? I have her on Sentinel for heartworm/fleas, and I am disturbed that she still has fleas between this and the frontline. Any ideas? The vet recommended Comfortis?? (sp?) |

| Our breeder recommended Revolution. It combines the flea/tick and heartworm medicines. Our vet agreed. The breeder had suggested it mainly because she felt the frontline irritated their skin. It worked all summer and we are heavily wooded. We will be changing our two large dogs to revolution as soon as we finish the meds we have. Hope it helps |

YT 1000 Club Member | I used frontline this summer and it didn't work either. The guy at Petco said they were alot of people switching to Advantix to see how it did. I didn't but will probably soon just to see how it does. |

| We use Comfortis on all five of ours and it's great! Once you give it to them...in about 30 mins it starts to kill the fleas.

| A bit of an update...We decided to go with the Comfortis, and it really seems to be working, I guess we will see. She definitely doesnt seem to be that itchy anymore, and there are no fleas visible, so fingers crossed that this works! Thanks for everyones suggestions! |

| I've used Frontline for a long time, and it just seems that this last summer I was having to dose Taylor about 3-3 1/2 weeks after the previous dose to keep on top of things. I've tried the Sentinel product once and it didn't give me the desired results. I'm pretty fussy about bugs of any sorts, so I'm not sure what I'll be using next if the Frontline craps out on us. | I use Frontline and found the same problem. It use to work well then it stoped workin . Well I found out that there is sort of a generic out there actually counterfiet Frontline. It comes in a similar package but if you look at the fine print it is not in English but rather many different languages. Most people don't notice because it looks pretty much the same but it is actually different. Only the one that is made in USA is the true Frontline and it does still work. The other has similar ingredients but different enough not to work as well. |

| I was going to mention the counterfiets too but see Imperez just did. I use Minksheen shampoo. It has natural repellents in it and seems to be working great for me. My mom tried it and although she liked it, hers still got a flea or two. They have hundreds of squirrels in and out of their back yard. I think that is making it extra difficult for her. But mine have been completely flea and tick free for over a year on just the Minksheen shampoo. I could not be happier to not have to add any more chemicals to their little bodies. If it ever stops working, I will be back here to hear what is working the best though -- can't put up with fleas and the disease and skin problems they bring!

| I hope Comfortis works for you. Denali is taking that and heart guard together and they seem to be working. However, he has never had fleas or anything so it has simply been a precautionary action. I am happy with it so far =)
