| "Happy" update :) Happy is doing well, he has 10 new sweaters courtesy of his/my Aunt that she knitted and has some goodies arriving tomorrow from Petco. I have a beautiful little wool coat coming for him, rawhides for his brother Zachary, shampoo and conditioner, new pet finder tags for both...oh and Linatone for them. He was suppose to have his teeth extracted Monday when he was getting neutered however we might only be able to neuter him and have his teeth done later. He has one testicle that has dropped - you can see it and feel it but if they have to cut into his abdominal cavity they won't do the teeth - particularly since we just don't know too much about his medical history. So the teeth may be waiting until they give the go ahead. He is still on his Hydocan and I am picking up more tomorrow, it really helps the coughing and honking from his collapsing trachea. He is still getting his Clavamox as well. Over all he is doing great, a bit fussy with the cats, like to bark at them and growl..so protective. But we are working on this. |

I hope the surgery goes well, please keep us posted. My Wylie had undescended testicles as well, and his surgery went well. They did remove his baby teeth at that time too.

YT Addict | So glad to hear that! He sure is being spoiled rotten! I've heard a member on YT say "Do I spoil him/her? Yes. Do I like to spoil him/her? Yes. Does it harm anyone when I do? Nope!!" I'm pretty sure those were not her exact words but I think they're close. Very happy to hear that he's doing good!

| I'm sure Happy is enjoying getting spoiled for a change. I'm sure he has never had such babying before in his life. I hope he does ok Monday. Will be thinking about him, so let us know.

| Happy's surgery is postponed, it might be a week or so more. I am embarrassed to say that our funds are quite low after the Vet visit's, plus having another elderly dog who has cancer is quite costly as well. So....this being said, the Vet called with quote, any where from $460 to $860 for the neutering and tooth extraction plus some care of the gums. What to do? I sold some of my old jewelry today, I have never done this before, I have managed to raise $465.00 today. I am working a new shift (3rd) that pays a 15% shift differential so I hope to have the funds by the end of November to pay for the high end quote just in case. I guess I look at that jewelry as just possessions, "things" and I am happy that I did it, he matters more to our family than some glittering baubles. Love to all from Happy and Barbara! |

| Why dont you look into a low cost spay/neuter clinic near you that way you dont have to worry about money so much if you call your humane society they should be able to give you a list of low cost spay/neuter clinics

Hello yes, we have thought about this but since he is older and not exactly in the best shape - quite frankly horribly neglected, we thought it would be best to do the two surgeries at one time to avoid putting him under twice and having be so stressed. Thank you so much for replying, Barbara and Happy | |
