| NYC Area Breeder I have been searching and searching for a reputable breeder of Yorkies in the NYC area, and every individual or group I fall upon turns out to have horrible reviews... Does anyone here have recommendations of nice, clean, reputable breeder in the area?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! |

| Good luck to you. But I found that NYC doesn't have any. The one that I got mine from has since stopped breeding and the 2nd one I got - I got from out of state. I am curious to know if you find one in NYC. Good luck. |

| I would suggest checking out YTCA.org for reputable breeders in your area. On the Yorkies for sale section, there are "stickies" at the top that give you lots of good info on what to look for in a good breeder and the "red flags" to stay away from. It's great you are trying to research and it's so important to "buy your breeder first" so you don't end up with a puppy mill or back yard breeder dog. Please research any breeder that you might find even on this site. There are plenty of people that come onto YT for the purpose of selling puppies, so investigate! Best of luck in your search!!

| As Reese1 suggested, check out the YTCA for a list of reputable breeders. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club Also check out this section Yorkies For Sale or Wanted - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community Lots of info in the "stickies"

| I'm in manhattan & I was having the SAME exact problem. But ever since I joined yorkie talk I found some good ones, not only on YTCA.org.....but there are a few members on here who are breeders aswell....but they are upstate, & there are quite a few who are in Jersey too! & if u hang around here for a few more days they'll probably PM you. My sister gave me this breeders contact from one of her coworkers...he lives in the bronx. I don't really want to mislead you & give you his contact because my sister isn't really aware of how deceitful & corrupt breeders can be....so ANY breeder sounds good to her. I have to bring her to the light. Lol. But ill do my research on him & talk to her coworker to see If he's another "teacup" brainwashed fool! So if I hear some good reviews ill let you know. |

Always, always, check out the breeder first. If you get a PM, don't be afraid to ask questions on the breeder in the breeder section.

Being a breeder on YT does NOT make you a reputable breeder, just as stated above! I would especially check out breeders that send you PMs trying to sell their puppies. I second asking for reviews on any that you receive in the open forum!
