Awesome Craigslist score I got an xpen for $5! I just washed it up, I am thinking I might spray paint it as it has some rust spots, but it is totally functional!

Nikki, what part of Chicago are you in? I'm thinking as the weather cools down maybe you could load Bailey up (and BF too of course!) get a map of local sales, something good to drink for the 3 of you and have a fun day...look for the obvious things -like x-pens and strollers, but look at things in a different way too. I've picked up baby items that work great for my furkids, like toys,blankets...stuff like that. Mine actually get all excited in the fall when we go "garage sale-ing"

Nikki, LOL-I'll be looking forward to pics of the outings and Bailey with his treasures! I think the most favored score was a little girls antique baby-doll cradle. It was a scaled down version of the real thing. My hubby cut out a small piece in the front, refinished it and added a couple of screws to keep it from swinging. It was the favorite bed for a loooong time I added some baby blankets that I'd found at a sale and voila! a one of a kind solid wood carved bed and 25 y.o. blankets for under $10-$8.50 for the cradle and the blankets were $.25. As I'm sure you can tell,my fave things are like me-old with a few dings & scratches!

Here in Buffalo we have "buffalo's largest yard sale" at the fairgrounds twice a year. I got Dolly this winter & went to the spring sale. I got 2 baby gates (to block off the bedrooms) for $5 each and I got a Pack-N-Go playpen barely used for $15. When I bring Dolly somewhere I can't keep a constant eye on her, I put her in the playpen with her toys and a bully stick. She can't get hurt, chew my friends' things, get out of an open door, etc. It has mesh sides so she can still see everything going on, & a padded bottom to get comfy and take naps. I've brought it to my ex-boyfriend's, my family's cabin, the beach house, BBQ parties at friend's houses... It's perfect!
