| 5 week old Yorkie at Petmart I took my puppies to Petmart today and ran into a lady with a 5 week old Yorkie puppy and her 5 year old male Yorkie. I was shocked to say the least and asked her why she was bringing in a little one to a store. The story she told me really upset me she just got the pup about an hour ago and it was given to her by a neighbor who told her that any of the 3 puppy who haven't found a home in an hour were getting dropped off at the pound gate. She told me the neighbor said it was a accidental litter and she wanted nothing to do with the pups who were full Yorkie's the got with male neighbor Yorkie. I think it was her male. I asked if they had all found homes and she said they did she got the last one. I told her about YT and to go here for help with raising a pup that is not old enough to be away from it's mother and would need special care and needed to be seen by a vet asp it was so tiny it look to me about a half a pound at most. One of the store's sale person sold her some RC baby puppy food told her to mix it with water because it had no teeth and I told her to please by Puppy Nutracal and to keep it warm. It didn't have any shots yet and also told her it shouldn't be in public places and around other dogs. What is wrong with people this just makes me sick. |

| Unfortunately, not everyone has done research. I am a research addict so I don't buy anything withou fully researching first. But, not everyone is as anal about it as I am. A little bit of research & education can go a long way. I hope she takes your advice.

| Wow how sad. Glad to hear that all the puppies found homes. Unfortunatly some people just don't know what to do. It was a good thing she ran into you. I hope she does come on here to get some help and advice. It will do that baby a world of good.

| Heart Wrenching! I want to cry at hearing that, and wondering what happened to the other puppies. People who get small dogs, should really do some research, and ask a vet. Poor babies. I do not let my puppies out around other dogs (accept my own, my yard ect. until they have had their rabbies shot. Hopefully she will look into how to care for it! |

| How horrible is that irresponsible owner for letting his yorkie have a litter of puppies and for him to want nothing to do with them as they where a ''mistake''... how dare he!!! Makes me so so mad after what i went through when my irresponsible breeder gave me Poppy at 5weeks old. I am glad that woman rehomed one of the puppies so it did not have to go to the pound. I hope she comes on here and takes all the advice that i got when i got my Poppy at 5weeks old. so sad xxx

| I'm convinced that people don't know how bad a breeding ground pet stores are for disease. They take their children to school and drop them off, but when it comes to the pets, they don't get the same shots as the children and expect them to be okay. She's likely in for a sad shock when it comes to how much care the little one is going to need! I deliberately did not get a smaller puppy. My Shorkie, Alice, is at least 14 pounds at six months. She's a doll baby! Callie, Alice, and Friends! |
