| Hmmmm....color change. Trinity is 12 weeks now. She is changing color on her head and the hair is silver at the root. Is this any indication of what color she will be? We have 2 other yorkies we rescued as adults but this is our first puppy experience. Not that it matters what color she will be, just wondering.

| I would think it could be. Rosie has changed a lot since we first got her. We took her home at 6 months and she was showing some silver then. But her body was mostly black. Now her head is the tan and her body is mostly silver with some black. So, I think your puppy may be going to have some of the silver in the hair color. I am sure someone here will be able to answer this for sure. |

| Aw, you have a Trinity too!! My Trinity is a puppy as well but a little older at 6 months old. Anyways, the silver is normal. They usually change to silver before turning gold or tan on the head but sometimes the silver remains in some spots on the head. Your puppy's head will be gold or tan with maybe some silver mixed in as an adult. It's really suppose to all be one color with no silver on the head as an adult but some don't change all the way. She won't have an all silver head though, that is quite uncommon. However if her back changes silver it will stay that way though it may get lighter or darker. That's one thing I love about yorkies, the many colors they change, lol.

No Longer a Member | Idk, I've been trying to figure Rizzo out, his hair went from light gray roots on his head to silver and now looks like white is coming in??? I think he just feels like doing his own thing, lol. The rest of his body appears to be turning silver from a darker gray, and the tan on his face appears to be turning a light golden color. He's only 7 months old though, looking forward to see what his full adult coat will look like. |

| I thought I would share how much Rosie has changed. The first picture she is about 6-7 months old. The second one is her now. The third is the day she came home with us. The forth is also a recent picture. She has changed a lot! |

| I was thinking Sambo might be turning silver since the hair on his head and some of his shoulder area is turning a silver light grey. But now I have no idea what color he will be, his mom was gold and silver but his dad was black with tan. Now I'm confused on what he will end up looking like. Everyday I get on YT I find out new things, thank you all for all the information. Sambo & Jenny |
