| Flea bath tip We have never had fleas so I don't keep flea shampoo on hand but this little stray that is staying with us was covered in fleas and needed a bath in the worst way. I have heard of using Dawn dishsoap on animals but all I had was Palmolive orignal dish soap so I thought I'd give it a try. I was shocked...it killed the fleas dead practically on contact! I was careful not to get it in his eyes and after shampooing him with the Palmolive and picking the dead fleas off of him I shampooed him with regular dog shampoo and then conditioner. He has stopped scratching and we haven't seen another flea! I don't know if this is common knowledge but I was impressed with the results. We bathed him Monday afternoon after realizing he wasn't leaving...he was scratching almost constantly but now he can rest easy with no more pesky fleas |

| That's really interesting, actually! My wee fella is having a lot of trouble with fleas right now, it being that time of year and all, and I just can't afford all the pills the vet keeps suggesting. |
