| Hello Hi Everyone I've been a member for quite awhile and finally decided to introduce myself. My name's Genea and I live in Virginia. I'm married to a wonderful man. We don't have any children except our fur babies. I recently lost my Yorkie, Ginger to health problems. She had congestive heart failure. She was 13 years old and I miss her terribly. I am wanting to add another Yorkie to our family. They are such a wonderful breed and I always want to have one in my life. I have totally fallen in love with the sweet babies at stillwateryorkies.com I was wondering if anyone here has one of their babies? If so I would love to see pictures. This is a great board, even though this is my first post, I read all the time Looking forward to getting to know everyone Genea |

| Hi everyone Thank you for the nice welcomes and words of sympathy. I appreciate it. Teegy: The breeder isn't local but not so far away that I couldn't make a trip there. About 6 hours or so. Thanks again Genea |

| Let me tell you what grabs me when I look at that website *and I mean no offense to anybody*. First off, that first page, the yorkie you can see the whites of the eyes, and look at her males, same thing. That is not normal. You should not be able to see that and makes me think something is wrong with the dogs. The second thing is her breeding females. It doesn't say the size, but some of them look small. They should be at least 5 pounds if they are being bred. I think you should post your question in the breeders section and get opinions there. They may have some really good recommendations for you. I just think something looks off with the dogs. I really hope that doesn't hurt anybodys feelings.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Hello Genea! Glad you decided to start posting. I'm sorry to hear about Ginger . I haven't heard of that site before so i don't know anything about them. However from just looking at their dogs i wouldn't feel comfortable getting a puppy from them. To me, a lot of their dogs look like their eyes are so wide apart and are a little buggy, kinda like chihuahua eyes. I don't think that is right. .... i just went back to look again and read that her breeding dogs are advertised with having this wide eye set as if its a good thing. i don't understand why. the standard calls for medium sized eyes that are not to prominent i believe. And i just looked at the tab in which that page is open on my firefox browser and it says "apple head yorkies teddy bear..." apple head is not a trait a yorkie is suppose to have, you hear that more for chihuahuas. honestly i'd look elsewhere for your new puppy. Check out the list of YTCA breeders in Va and start with them: Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club

Okay I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking this. All I can see in her dogs are eyeballs and they look so small. Cobby bodies? I can't say I've seen a puppy who's head is bigger than it's body and I didn't want to offend or insult anyone by saying so, they look really small and that isn't often a good thing health wise. There are some awesome breeders on this site check out their beautiful pups. | |
