| Interesting read. Thanks for posting. I'm impressed that they use the scientific names of the bacteria and yeast.

| It didn't gross me out. Bacteria are everywhere, including inside us. We could not survive without them. |

Well, I wouldn't go quite that far, but it doen't gross me out either. It's all just part of life. However, I have noticed a frito smell now and then on Bonnie. I also noticed she is licking her feet a lot, which I heard is a sign of yeast. | |

| Thanks! Just wanted to thank you for this post. Lizzy was chewing on one of her feet and I picked her and sniffed her foot! I realized a second later that it was the first time in my life I had ever picked up a dog and sniffed her/his foot. Just one of those things that makes me think, yeah, I've gone to the dogs.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | I loves me some frito feet! Morgan has frito feet and so does one of my cats. I love the way it smells. I groom a lot of dogs that have frito feet too. I even got my bather to smell a golden's foot once. i was like "hey come smell this dogs feet. they smell like fritos". so he came over and smelled a foot i was holding up as i was cutting nails. He said "i can't believe you asked me to smell a dogs feet, and i can't believe i did it no questions asked. but your right they do smell like fritos." it was hilarious. hahaha

| This is so true! I have always had dogs that had salty cheese puff smelling feet! I never thought anybody else ever thought about it or noticed it! Very informative. I've gotta go and wash Mabel's itty bitty, stinky feet!

| I thought we were the only ones that called them Frito Feet!!! I cannot believe not only there's an actual term, but a scientific explaination. Call me weird, but I absolutely love to smell their Frito Feet...my GSP had them big time, and now Rocco has them only once in a while and I think it is the cutest, sweetest smell. Thanks for sharing this post!
