| Before and after pics of rescued yorkies I have been wanting to start a thread for before and after pics of all the resuced yorkies. I just love seeing how a lot of love and attention can transformed this little ones into beautiful yorkies. I'll be the first...introducing Brandi. My rescued of two years. 1-this pic was taken on the day I took her to the groomers. I had to wait until I was able to get her to the vet before taking her to the groomer. She stunk so bad I gave her several baths to no avail. She stunk up the whole house! 2-this pic was taken after we left the groomers. Her coat was so matted and so filthy that the only thing the groomer could do was cut it all off. 3-this is Brandi as she is today....healthy, happy and very spoiled. 4-I couldn't leave out my 12 yr old cat who was rescued from the streets at the tender age of 6 weeks. There you have at.....Zoey and Brandi (also known as Garfield and Odie). Your turn! Last edited by yavenay; 03-29-2010 at 05:00 PM. |

| Wonderful pictures of your baby! Thank you for taking her in and giving her all the love she so deserves! Here is a really great thread that has all kinds of stories and pictures of YT members with rescues/rehomes. I think it is time to bump it back up again. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ed-yorkie.html

| What a beautiful yorkie and story! It makes me so happy that there are people who have hearts to take in a wonderful pet that had to live in such horrid conditions. Good for you for all that you do!

| Hi Thank you for rescuing Zoey and Brandi ( Garfield and Odie). They are adorable. I have rescued a few Yorkies but also have rescued over 300 animals and I do have pictures of most of them. Ill have to dig through the cd's and get a few off there to share. Thanks again for sharing your pictures with us. |

| Well, here's one pic with a before and after together from the ytnr website. She had bladderstones, and in the first pic where her eyes are closed was the night I picked her up. She was dripping blood it was so bad. She was in soooo much pain. She was trying to pee and it came out 100% blood red, not even pink. Now she's great! The other pics are the first time we took her out for a playdate. She's 6 yrs old but plays like a puppy! Probably the first time in a long time she's felt so good! I got her bathed and conditioned, and her cottony coat is so soft now. She loves to be brushed too!

| Here's a pic of the stones in case some people didn't see it in the other thread. Crazy. There were four of them. Can you imagine in a tiny yorkie bladder the size of these things? In a human, they are like pea sized or smaller. These were marble size to everlasting gobstopper size!

| What a great thread!! These babies are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. OMG!!! I hadn't seen that pic of the bladder stones. That poor, poor little girl. Those new pics of her playing and smiling are terrific!

| Yes surgery. No way she could have passed those. She had to be on iv's for two days before the vet would even do surgery on her. White cell count was too high, and was anemic due to all the peeing blood. Then after surgery was there for one more day for observation.
