♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | would it be ok to change a name? Hopefully this weekend I will be going to meet an 11 month yorkie boy that needs rehoming(with health card this time) and was wondering if I changed his name it would be ok. It may sound silly but I want to chose the name, am I just being daft lol

| Changing his name will be a good thing. He will eventually get used to the one you choose! I would want to choose the name too. Congrats on getting your new furbaby! Best wishes!

| I change the name of most of my rescues. They learn very quickly. I think a new beginning deserves a new name!

| I've heard it's fairly easy for them to adjust if you incorporate the old name with the new one and eventually drop the old one... like if his name was Sammy and you want to name him Max call him Sammy Max and then after a bit just drop the Sammy and call him Max.
