Should I worry about "sweating"? This evening I have noticed something that has never happened before, Chewy seems to be sweating I was laying with him on the couch and we had a light fleece blanket covering us. When I got up, I noticed his whole mouth area and some of his leg were very wet. It isn't vomit and it has no real smell and he seems fine. Has anyone else experienced this or is it something I need to be worried about?

dogs dont sweat they get rid of their heat by panting, that is why it is cruel to tape a dogs mouth shut ... they can not then regulate their temperature..... maybe he was licking his lips and his leg? toby can lick my blankets till they are SOAKING WET (sorry just had to vent that last bit)..lol

yeah, Chewy has that little beard and it is soaked! I guess it might have been drooling because only the side that he was laying on is soaked. The other side is dry! OK, I won't freak out but if anyone has any experience with this, please chime in.

| When we went to pick up Tori last Sun. she was laying with her head on my shoulder and my shirt was soaked. I thought she peed on me then she was on the other shoulder and the same. I started looking at she soaked little face and noticed her back teeth were not all the way in and she was REALLY drooling. Maybe Chewy has lost some baby teeth. Teething will make them drool...

Tricia: I never even thought of that! Chewy has been teething and he has lost a lot of teeth lately. I wonder if this could be it.
