| Irritating... So I had to go on a little vacation if you will, for about a month. I came back and it seems my house is full of dander because it is making me sneeze all the time. I was fine before I left but that is because I vacuumed everyday almost and gave my 2 furbutts bathes once a week. The lady that watched them was awesome but she only bathed them once and vacuumed right before we got home. I have tried ( with a brand new vacuum with a hepa filter ) vacuuming every other day, using the attatchment to vacuum my couches , spraying my couches and carpets with the allergen reducing mist stuff and washing ALL the blankets 3 - 4 times already , wiping down all hard surfaces with disinfectant towels and washing my dogs. I rubbed Colt ( the chi/yorkie mix) down in this stuff made to reduce allergens and dander on animals bc I have never had a problem with Marley so I thought maybe it was his chihuahua dander coming out Please help, I also have allergies to mold when it rains so I don't know whats goin on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am going to buy ANOTHER air purifier for the living room today. I already have one in the dogs room where they go potty.

| Can't speak for where you're at, but here in Texas we've been getting a lot of wind from the north. That's usually enough to get everyone's allergies stirred up.

| I wonder if she wore a perfume that may be lingering in the furniture or something. I have allergies too. Feel your pain. Hopefully everything will settle down soon. UGH hope you can figure it out soon. |

| I use an air purifier with an ionizer and a separate UV light thingy to kill airborne bacteria and stuff. The ionizer makes the room feel like it does outside right after a rain ... makes all the dust drop to the floor. Try changing the filter in your heat/ac unit. It may have picked up more than what you're accustomed to while you were gone. Can't think of anything else right now...

| I bought 2 of these today on my lunch break ... Honeywell Consumer Products HHT-080 13' x 13' Room Air Purifier I can't find/ am not looking good enough for reviews on them but I also bought new filters for the hepa filter that is in the dogs room. God I hope this helps... My bedroom seems to be the place with the lesser of the dander, which is due to my instructions to leave the door closed to the dogs while we were gone. I guess I can vacuum the couches one more time and see if these air/hepa filter thingys work. They cost me 90 bucks a piece they better do something.. Anyone else use hepa filters for allergies and see results??

| Or maybe get rugs and furniture steam cleaned. FeBreeze makes an allergen control product to spray on rugs and furniture.

| You should be able to but after not being vacuumed as often the dirt and dander may have worked their way deeper into the rugs and furniture, and steam cleaning goes deeper into the fibers than just vacuuming.

| I spent six months at the Misawa Air Base back in the 70's. What a beautiful place. Used to take the train up to Aomori. Great place! I learned a lot about the Japanese culture during my visit. I left in early November just as it was starting to snow. I was serving in a Navy P3 patrol squadron. I really miss the food! |
