| Moving with a Yorkie I will more than likely be moving from central Illinois to Kansas City. This will be the first of many moves with General Lee. This has been the only place he has lived in since we brought him home. I would like some tips, ideas and any hic-ups I might run into during the move. I figure after the first the rest won't be that hard. We will probably be moving every 2-5 years. |

| We just made a big move in March from SD to NC. Princess did great, I kept all her boxes right with us at all times. She has alot of stuff But I must say she did Ok with the move, she's really happy here. When you get to your new home, take some of his toys and put them in different rooms. Let him find them, he will get the idea it's his new home. Best of luck to you Now if I could just get busy unpacking

YT 3000 Club Member | I have moved with chester twice and it went pretty well, I would him sniff out the new place before we moved and I would take him to friends house to watch him when i moved, and then I would get his toys, bed and his food stuff arranged, and in my case our bed since he sleeps with me before I picked him up. I would take a week off and just spend time walking around meeting neighbors since we was in an apartment. They knwo its home with yiour smells and your stuff. I dont know in your situation moving to different town if you have a place to keep him while you move or take time off but maybe you can. I have also used the dap dog appeasing pheoromone, it mimics the smell of the nursing mother and helps calm them down, people use it for thunder storms, separation anxiety ets, you can use the spray or use the plug in for the room they are in the most. I got the spray you can use it anywhere, lasts for 4 hours good luck |
