| Is my yorkie normal? My cody seems VERY different from other yorkies or maybe dogs in general... he never barks... EVER. He's one years old now and through his lifetime, I've heard him bark less then 10 times. He's really picky with any treats or toys I give him, he's not much of a chewer so he doesn't chew on anything. He licks himself from time to time, especially his front paws. I've been trying to find anwars online but it's hard to find it. Does anyone find this abnormal?

| I don't find it abnormal at all. You are reading too much into it. Every dog is different. Just like people. My Trixie only barks when she is playing and being wild. And that is only like 1 bark. Don't look for things that are wrong. Just enjoy your little guy. Believe me if something goes wrong you well know it. Like the saying goes,"if it ain't broke..don't fix it" That's just your little guys personality that's all. leave him be!!

| You're one of the lucky ones. Piper never chewed, but when provoked(someone comes to the door) he will bark.

| I am so thankful that Teddy isn't one of those typical small dog ankle biters that you hear about haha. Teddy only barks while playing. You want him to chew....try a bully stick haha. I just got Teddy one and he is obsessed with chewing on it! As far as chewing and biting at paws I've heard that that can be caused by allergies...don't hold me to it that's just what I have heard.
