| Could she crawl over the gate? When I leave in the morning I gate Bridget in the vanity area of my upstairs bedroom. She’s has a good sized area to sleep and play and her potty pads at the other end on the bathroom tile. Tonight I come home she’s loose in the house. I could have sworn I put her in her “room” before I left! Could she have actually crawled over the gate? She’s pretty small – just 4 lbs. And the gate was secured. But smart little girl she is, she went downstairs and did her business in the downstairs bathroom on a pad. Perhaps she’s finally getting the potty thing down! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Can she crawl over the gate ? In one word ... YES. They are MONKEYS with cuter faces. That's so cute that she was that determined - we have the highest baby gate I ever saw and Cheri can climb it when she wants to - Chanel has never attempted it but Cheri seemed to scale it like she was born swinging in the trees - so yes - they sure can climb. |

| Either that or she managed to pull a little section of the gate to side enough to squeeze through. Annie has managed to do this. We would come home find the gate in place and Annie out So one day we decided to watch her Houdini act. And wala! That's how she managed to get out |

| Gus is not a climber but my Pom sure was. She could get over a 6 foot fence with no problem. If there were places to put her little paws, she was getting over. We had a chain linked fence at the time. After we took it down and put up a wood fence, we didn't have the problem. baby gates were no problem for her to get over!

| Coco hasn't quite mastered it. I don't think she even know she CAN climb but she's so small at 3 lbs I don't think she would make it unless I guess she learned to crawl over it.

| She probably did get out over the top of the gate. My smallest yorkie, Jasmine, who is barely over 2 pounds has springs as legs.... she jumps higher than any of my other dogs. Just make sure she doesn't have a collar on or something that can get caught on anything... I've heard horror stories of people returning home from work and their dogs are just hanging there... (ew!!).
