| The cutest trick at the vet's So this was a few weeks ago, and I totally forgot about it until now. I just had to tell you all the cutest trick I saw. I was waiting to get Addie's sutures removed from after her spay at the vet's, and there were these two cute little yorkies with an older couple. So we're just talking with each other along with several other pet owners waiting to see the vet when the wife decides to show us a trick one of her pups can do. She says, "Smile!" And the little pup pulls her lips back and shows all of her teeth! And it wasn't one of those, "I'm mad at you so I'm showing my teeth" looks either. It was an "I'm young, and this is my haphazard smile!" Freaking adorable. Now if only I could teach Addie how to do that ... Can anyone's pup do that? What adorable trick does your pup do?

| Sebastian does that but only when I am at the glass door talking to him. He puts his paws on the door and I talk to him and he gets all excited and starts to whine and smile at me. He just won't do it as a trick. He just does it on his own.

I'm so jealous of those that can get their pup to do that. *sigh* I don't think I've ever seen Addie smile. One of these days!

| When I was training Stella to lay down, she was in a really playful mood, so now every time before she lays down, she puts her paws up in the air like she's going to bat at a toy that's hanging in front of her or something, and then lays down. I'm sure I could retrain her easily, but it's so adorably cute that I don't want to! |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | OMG that is a cute trick and Mary that pic of Ting Ting is freaking adorable. I love that little smile with her teeth showing. That must be a hard trick to capture. If you were clicker training you would have to have the clicker ready with treat and the command smile. I wonder if that's how they did it.

Although, the clicker training sounds like it would work, but the only problem would be for your pup to start smiling. Mine never does that, so that wouldn't work. Oh, well. At least she's good at sitting.

| Our Bonnie smiles with all her teeth showing whenever my daughter comes into the room. It is adorable. She will wag her little tail and smile from ear to ear.
