| I have VPI as well. I'm very happy with it. Especially since I got Bella as a puppy, it helped pay for a lot of things.

I Love Thor Donating Member | I have VIP pet insurance and so far its paid off with just one emergency! (when Thor got the hook in his eye $150 later...) I would not be without it just in case of emergencies that i otherwise couldn't afford!! At $20 bucks a month, but I think I'm going to look into the $10 a month one! Thanks for this post, it just reminded me that I have to make a claim! |

| Well thumbs down from me! I had a major name insurance and what a fiasco. First of all I was supposed to get the bigger package plan to include vaccinations but this wasn't so. Even though I had paperwork that said the vaccination plan was supposed to be a certain price, I was charged way more each month because they told me that the papers were a mistake and I was supposed to be paying more. I faxed them my papers and even pointed out their website said the price but they kept insisting it was a glitch and kept charging me extra. I then cancelled my insurance but they kept charging me anyway since they had my account number. I cancelled 3 more times and each time I was told they had fixed the problem and cancelled me and yet they kept charging me. I even faxed them papers showing I cancelled and the still kept charging me. I ending up having to have a block put on my account so no money could be got by their company. Now to top everything off..... a couple months after that I get a letter stating that they just wanted to let me know that my bank account was was compromised because an employee had stolen records and had a list of peoples private banking information. I was sent this letter 30 days after the incident because by law they had to send out letters. Well duhhhhhhhhh you think somebody could have called or informed me before 30 days. I ended up changing my whole bank account because I was so paranoid after that. Sorry but I'm not naming a place becuase next thing you know I would be sued, but it was a MAJOR carrier that most people use .

| Wow that really sucks! I was thinking of getting VPI.. but I don't know.. how much of the routine care does it cover? We spend like 50.00 a month on advantage for our animals.. how much of that does it cover? I don't know if it would be worth it.. I was also thinking of just getting the coverage for accidents and emergencies for only 10.00/month. I think that would be better!

| Also.. if you have pet insurance.. and you have an emergency.. and to get them treated will cost like 1,000.00 do you have to pay for it right then and then send them the bill and they reimburse you... or do they pay for it right there for you??? Cause thats what im worried about.. an emergency comes up and they want you to pay all that money up front and we don't have it.
