| Are my babies in heat? Hey everyone I just need a bit of advice! i have 2 9 month olds who weigh 13lbs each, in the last couple of weeks daisy has become very cuddly and affectionate and millie has become a total nightmare eating shoes, weeing on my bed, eating the walls, everything you dont want her to do she does! Daisy has also started cleaning herself alot, i havent really noticed it with mille? Could millie be acting out because Daisy is in heat? Im just generally so confused! xxx |

| I don't really know, but thought I'd bump this up so someone else might be able to help you.

| so I am assuming they are both not spayed? It could be that is why millie is acting out. Check out Daisy, usually before you start to see blood they will swell up. Uni's swelled up so huge there was no mistaking it! LOL Yes, they will clean themselves a lot. Yorkies don't usually bleed that much, but still you'll notice it. The first two times for Uni she acted pretty normal. She is finishing up her third cycle any day now and she has been the moodiest little girl ever!!!

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | If they are not spayed (which I assume they are not, since you're asking), then yes it definitely could be possible. Watch for the obvious signs, swelling of their vulva and/or bleeding. If they keep themselves clean, try wiping the vulva with a white tissue.....if you see pink (or red), she's in heat. My current female had her first heat at 10 months of age.

| Are you sure Millie isn't chewing up everything because her adult teeth is coming in or already is in? Have you gotten her dentals done yet? By 9 months, my girl still had at least 5 baby teeth left to pull as they didn't come off on their own. |
