| I freaked out for a minute! (weighing my puppy) I just freaked out for a little while .. I had a DUH moment lol. I was weighing my pup that was 8 1/2 oz two days ago. I couldn't figure out HOW he could now weigh 1 pound 12 ounces. Holy Cow!! I was just going to get on the internet and research puppy growth patterns when I realized.. I Forgot to subtract the weight of the pottery bowl I placed him him DUH! So he is 12 ounces.. LOL (not 1 pound, 12 oz) Macho's such a porker |

| LOL Something similar to your story happened to us. Jer took Suri to be weighed at a vets office. She was about a pound and a half the day before but we still wanted to weigh her...the vet tech tried to convince Jer that 10oz = a pound. She tried to tell him she weighed like 2 pounds. Now we stick to weighing them at the post office. I was so confused how such a tiny thing could gain over half a pound in half a day...

| Bet you were thinking his food had lead pellets in it! LOL! I have a digital scale that lets me zero it with something on it (tare) and then weigh or I am sure I would forget to subtract sometimes too.

| Debra .. even at the Correct weight of 12 ounces I am still thinking there must be lead pellets in his food. Seriously! It's supposed to be half an ounce of weight gain daily. Holy smokes! From 8 1/2 ounces to 12 ounces in like 3 days is Still gaining fast! he is always at the tit .. and has no competition being a singleton. |
