| Question about my new puppy being around other dogs... I spend a large amount of my day at my BF's house..he has two older dogs age 10 and 5..they are up to date on their shots..sooo, can I bring Bailey to visit them, even though Bailey will not have completed his shots yet? I hate to leave him at home alone when I am at my BF's, and I have to introduce him to the other dogs anyway, I told the bf I couldn't bring him over until he had completed the shots and he couldn't understand that! what do you all advise? Thanks so much

| Hmmmm.. I was just thinking some people have a lot of doggies and when they get a new puppy they must have the pup around the other dogs right away, correct?

| Its not that they can catch anything from the dogs its what there paws can bring into the house when they have been out in a park. If another dog has any diseases and the dogs pick it up on there paws and bring it home it can then be a threat to your puppy.

| I think that if they have their shots and stuff it will be fine. Otherwise, how would people get other dogs??? Right??? I'm with ya lol.

| Yes, That's what is confusing..if people have other dogs at home already, what do they do when they bring home a new puppy It would be pretty difficult to keep them isolated from the owners other dogs wouldn't it?..

| So what happens in the situation where there are other dogs in the home already?

| It is difficult, I can only tell you what my vet said to me. I kept Mika back from my other two until he had his 1st jab and then they were allowed to be together. Its very hard to keep them apart. The choice is really yours.
