| Acting Out????? I AM HOT TODAY. Austin was fixed on Tuesday and he is a conehead. He's super sad about the cone. Take the cone off and he's my happy go lucky pup. I am hot today because since he came home he's been using the WHOLE house for his bathroom again. Day 1. I thought OK he just had surgery he's got this silly cone on his head we'll let it go. Day 2. He's doing it still. Day 3. He just peed right outside the bathroom. He's been 50/50 since he's been home where as before he'd after very few accidents. He knows he's wrong because he'll hide and stay away from us after he's done it. My husband thinks he's "acting out" due to this cone. I just think needs to stop NOW. Are there others who have experienced this???? Could he really be "acting out" |

| I have heard some YTs say that you start all over with potty training after they are fixed...This did not occur with mine, but maybe this is what happening?

| Since he just had surgery he may be having trouble holding his bladder but if it keeps up he should be checked for a UTI

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | I think he deserves praise for keeping the collar on lol. Tia couldn't move properly and it was a real struggle in her crate. I took it off her and put a t shirt on her , she was much more comfortable. He has just been through a big op, yes they recover quick, how would you feel if youve just had your bits fixed lol.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I'd call the vet and ask them if anything happened during surgery that would start this. Maybe he can't help it even if he knows it's wrong.

| They took his Mojo Of course he's acting out...you had his "junk" removed. I think it's a guy thing. He's "pissed off" so he's gonna "piss on" anything he can. Went through a similar thing Day 1 and 2....we ended up keeping him in the kitchen with the baby gates up so he wouldn't get around when we weren't 100% watching him. After the cone came off - he was fine. Good Luck! |

| Some of you have jokes…..lol. Thanks I needed them…… I did call his vet after reading your replies and she agreed with you she has heard of this before. “YES he’s acting out. He’s like a two year old throwing temper tatum over this cone”. SO I am going to take this opportunity work on 1. my patience…… again (I so thought I was DONE with this potty issue ) and 2. try to bell train him. His daddy has always wants him to go outside anyways so why not start from the beginning if that is where we are. Lastley I am just going to pray pray pray. |
