| Yorkie covers food dish with dish towel Okay ....Okay, I now this sounds crazy. I was in my kitchen one day and I have a self watering water container for my two dogs. Lab and Yorkie. I have to keep a towel under the water bowl. (otherwise my lab gets it all over the kitchen) I put Mia's food dish with food in it on the other side of the towel. I left the room. My lab was outside. When I came back I saw the whole dish had been covered with what was left of the towel. So I thought, ok thats weird, So I uncovered it. I watched and Mia walked over and nosed it back over her food. It was the weirdest thing. I wish she could talk and tell me why? She loves her food. Does anyone else's yorkies do this?

| My Laya does that too. I think they are hiding it and saving it for later. She will then go back and uncover it and eat it. Just instinct it think. Just like when they bury bones. Except Laya buries her bones with air. She just pushes the air with her nose to cover up her treats. Cracks me up!

| Roman does this too. Most of the time he doesnt actually cover it with anything...he just pushes the carpet with his nose until he's satisfied. I guess he's just pretending he burying it? I wouldn't say it's completely normal lol, but there's definitely nothing wrong with Mia, Roman and all the others who do this!

| Scooter's sis, Bitsy, will put a toy on top of the food dish. I can't figure it out but when she does that Scooter doesn't go near the dish. Maybe it's a kind of staking a claim thing.
