| plays w/cat poop from litter box!!!! Help! I recently found out Teddy, my 8 month old baby goes into my cat's litter box and would bring the poop back to it's bed! He thinks it's a toy! I don't think he eats eat, he kind of plays with it. When I saw this happen i had to give it a bath and brush his teeth right away! Can he get sick from this??? I mean, this is definitely not sanitary. Has this happened to any one before? Please help, need advice! Thanks in advance!! |

| Im not sure how healthy this is but im sure its not something he can get sick from if he isnt eating it. But I would recomend making sure he can't get to it just to be sure.

| Yes Mimi used to do this with my fiance's cat litterbox. she would drag out the poop and litter would be everywhere!. She used to do it when she was hungry though and also we bought a litterbox with a door now so she cant get in there no more lol. There is also a litterbox that has opening on top cause cats can jump high dogs cant jump that high so that maybe an option i seen it at petsmart. Also, you will have to clean the litterbox several times throughout the day so your baby cant get tot he poop. ugh they are such stinkers aren't they lol. Can't help but love them though

| If yorkies had their own money, I would put our cat cookies on a stick, wrap them in cellophane and make a million bucks!! They're absolute delicacies, according to my doggies. We've had to put the litter box away where they can not get to it. Oliver's favorite trick is to eat half and then roll in the other half. Then he hops on my lap for a BIG kiss!!!! YUCK!!!! You gotta wonder about their taste buds? Michele :-) |

| Put your kitty litter up on a table in the room where it is situated..you will not have any problems then for the cats can jump up to it.. and then doggies are safe... Even the cats food should be kept high.. hope this helps.. anne |

| wow lucky you at least he only plays with it... my bailey eats any poop she will find outside...i watch her carefully because it could come form any animal...but i am sure your house cat is healthy and his poop would not harm your baby....but good advice on putting the litter box on a chair...good luck

| I've had the same problem with Molly. Ugh. I ended up putting the cat food up high where she can't get to it and the litter box off to where she can't get to it either.

| When Suzi was a puppy, she would love to grab cat poo from outside It was so gross. Definately place the litter box up high, and the cat food too. i have heard that cat food is very high in protein to dogs.

| Buddy loves to go and just sit in the cat's litterbox....ewww. I caught him in there one day as I was getting ready for work. We've been making sure that he doesn't go in there anymore, since the other time that he did get in there, I'm not sure if he had eaten some "cat patties"....but his face smelled like litter. What is it with the litterbox?!! |

| I think it is like crack to them, because my little monster does the same thing, and when I go to get it away from him he gets very protective of it. so gross.... I have an automatic cleaning litterbox and when i go to empty the tray he will growl at me and try to get it... |
