| What to expect after spaying surgery? My little Chewie is 5.5 months old and is getting spayed next week. Is there anything I should know ahead of time about what to expect? My vet gave me some info but I was wondering if you guys had any information that could be helpful. She is going to be staying overnight at the vet's after the surgery. What can I expect when she is home the next day? Thanks!!

| Gracie Ruth was still a little groggy the next day when I picked her up from the vet. She was quite the rest of the night and through half of the next day. By noon she was acting more herself, by evening I was having trouble keeping her quiet. She never displayed any pain issues, ate & drank normally. I fixed her some oatmeal the day I brought her home and her Daddy fixed her a scrambled egg for breakfast the next morning. Other then that she ate her regular kibble & treats just fine.

| Some bounce back right away and some take longer. She may be lethargic, very tired, no appetite, very few if any bowel movements, etc. Is someone at your vet's office all night or do they leave the dogs alone?
