floppy ear My little guy is 9 months old and recently his left ear started to flop again. It did this when he was about 4 months but it came back up. I think he's cute anyway but just wondered what could have happened His ears are groomed so it isn't the hair being too heavy.

My Kallie's ear did the same thing, it fell a few months ago and i took her to the vet and he gave me some cleanser to treat her for a slight yeast infection in the ear. After her first cleansing, her ear went back up... something to consider....

What color was the cleaner? I have some blue cleaner for my yorkie and the little one had an infection awhile back, and I do have some other kind of drops for her, but, it doesn't seem like her ears have been bothering her lately. I'm thinking of putting her on a puppy vitamin with calcium in it

Charlie is about 6 pounds. His left ear was floppy til he was about 5 months old. Suddenly one day it just came up on its' own. So both ears were up for about 4 months. Maybe it will just come up again. It could be his teeth, recently he has been doing alot of biting and chewing. I guess I'll find out soon enough. I'll also check his ears and make sure they look good.

My Laddy's ears were down almost all the time till few weeks ago and he is almost 5 months then someone told me to mix half warm water and half white vinegar and put in his ears and let it sit then swab it out after I shaved the inside and edges....next morning both ears were back up . The mixture is suppose to help cure ear infection...that I am not sure of but it brought the ears back up along with tons of black wax and I clean his ears twice a week every week I couldnt believe all the stuff that had been left behind in them.

I was told on here to shave all the inside of ear and 1 third of the back of ear and to trim hair off the edges of ear.( I used a small battery powered mustache trimmer worked great) within 3 days of doing this Laddy's ears were up with no taping so you might try that.

| Bear's left ear went floppy around 4 months, I did a lot of searching online and they said that this typically happens when they are teething. I guess that the cartilage requires a lot of calcium and the teething process "steals" this calcium from other areas of their bodies. Bear's ear went back up in a couple of weeks.
