| Trying to think of something special.....??? Layla's birthday is next Tuesday- our weather is supposed to be lovely here- mild at least I want to think of something special to do with her on her birthday (yes I KNOW she has no clue and for all she knows it is just a random Tuesday). She does not need anything and instead we will be giving to a yorkie rescue but i still want to DO something with her... any ideas???? I don't know why this is so hard..... |

| Sometimes the most simple things are best. Take Layla on a favorite walk and give her time to "smell the roses". Finish of by stopping at an outdoor cafe for a cup of something hot for you and a tasty treat for her. |

| Cindy you are so great- i like the idea of her deciding the walk- as usually I am the one in charge- maybe we will go to a park where there are new smells... however, we don't have outdoor cafes here or if we do i have never seen them maybe we will go in a dog friendly store- Layla LOVES the attention she gets in Michaels and i love looking at all the crafty stuff! |

| I didn't know Michaels was dog friendly! I like the idea of a nice walk too but you could also plan a little doggy birthday party. Have a little get together with other doggys, maybe even visit a doggie daycare if Layla likes that sort of thing and you can bring little birthday treats. And I know you home cook... can she have liver cake? Not the whole thing but it's really easy to make and I cut it into little bite size pieces and my girls love it! |

| Take her someplace that would be fun for her. Maybe go to a pet store, pick her up something new then go for a nice long walk away from everyone, spread a blanket and bring something to have a nice pic-nic, and treats and new toy for her to lay and eat and play with after a busy day of shopping and walking. Giver my niece a big birthday kiss and hug for me too.

Layla is not a fan of other dogs well not other dogs that have a lot of energy- I'm hoping to get her to her babysitter's this coming week which will make her relaly happy- she loves it there! They only have two dogs and they are SO gentle with Layla! | |

| Happy Birthday to Layla! Our Tiki always gets to spend her birthday with her brother. My best friend has him so it is so special for them both. We usually still have decent weather in October so it's usually a play date in my back yard. Tiki & Buddy run & play while we visit and drink espressos. If I could figure out the picture thing and how to make mine smaller I would post their pictures. Maybe I will put together a little album and post a link here. Myrna - aka - Tiki's Mom! |
