| I've got my own nail clippers, but I always have my groomer clip the nails. I'm nervous about doing it myself, the girls are too wiggly. Good luck to you in trying to do it yourself. You're a braver soul than me.

| I bought nail clippers last week. I just clipped the tip of her nails while she was laying on my lap... its better to do it when they are relaxed. Good Luck. |

| I use the nail clippers that has the guard on the back that shows you how much to clip a nail. I learned to clip my own dogs nails since I had a very bad experience having a vet clip their nails. When a dog is young and you start right from the beginning to learn to clip their nails, they will always trust you even if you do have an accident. It becomes part of their grooming procedure. |

| I do Missy's with my nail cutters. I find that I can judge how much I'm clipping easier.

| I have nail clippers for Suzi, but really like the new kinds that file them down. However they are noisy. My groomer suggested buying a set that are called Dremel. Has anyone ever tried those? These file them down and have two speeds. At the petstore are rather expensive, however, I have seen them cheaper online.

| I clip all 4 of mine with pet clippers. Then i use the peticure to file them. I dont have a problem with my 2 oldest but my 2 youngest is a different story but they are getting there. They've come a long way than what they use to be.

| I use a dremel on Lola. I usually poke her nails through a nylon before trimming. That way I don't have to worry about it catching her hair. Love it! |

I do all my dogs own nails! I used to be a vet tech so I know how to do it, i would just ask your vet to show you how to trim the nails, and then try it from there! good luck!
