| Boy puppy question Hi everyone. Happy monday! Well im back with another strange question. As alot of you know, i have a lil boy Morkie who just turned 8 months old yesterday. He was neutured about 2 weeks agoe but here my odd question. Brace yourself girls( and some boys) its a good one So ive never had a boy dog before, alot of his mannerisms is completley new to me. The other day Bowie got a bath and i guess he was feeling frisky cause he started humping his fave toy, the thing is, his penis wouldnt go back all the way in, we think his hair stopped him from fully retracting. I dont think this has happened before and we were worried, he wasnt crying but what we did was help him get the hair away. The next day he has some whitish crusty stuff on it. I know i sound naieve but ive only had girl dogs. Can someone help? Feel free to laugh, we do casue we are so new to this. Completly lost mom to Bowie, Cecilia

| I have seen this question asked on this forum before, so someone should be able to answer it for you. Good for you for asking...YT has the answer to most anything Good luck with your little boy!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I actually saw this on a tv show before! (We watch a lot of Animal Planet ) Anyway, the vet on the show just said to "stick it back in". I'm not a pro on this topic, so I'm not sure if this is the right advice and I wouldn't want to jeapordize your baby's health in any way. I'd just thought I would share that you are not the only one that this happened to, so good for you for asking! The vet said it was a male thing, and when it doesn't go back in, just aide the process. However, this is probably different case to case. If it keeps happening, I would maybe take him in. Good luck!! |

| First of all, their's nothing wrong with him! That was like pre-semen. I think though that if he's getting to the point that he is doing this, if you have him neutered, he won't have any more of that "boy" behavior. Like marking territory. He might still hump though. My vet actually tied my 3 yr old tubes, so he was in some pain for awhile, and not really wanting to be very active. After that, he's been a gem. No more marking even. |

| Gosh! I've been wanting someone to open this can of worms! Hiro doesn't hump anything in the house, but he hasn't been fixed yet. The other day I was tickling his belly while we were watching TV and I felt something wet! I thought he peed on me... well I looked down and his penis was sticking out! Really far! I said: 'HIRO! Put that thing back in! Mommy doesn't wanna see that!' (lol) All shocked like and took my hand off him. He got distracted and it retracted just fine (I keep his belly hair and peepee hair really short so it doesn't get all crusty and is easier to wash), but sometimes it just sneaks its way out there and surprises me! I know it's probably normal but it kinda freaks me out! I've only had female dogs before him except for one (a 2 year old boy sheltie we adopted when I was a kid) and I never even knew what it really looked like! I assume that similar incidents will happen less and less after he's fixed, but it creeps me out! lol
