| Puppy Stores I reported this week! Hi All! I know many of you read my post about the sad pet store visits. I know these were definitely mill pups. Someone suggested that I post the information about these places here since word of mouth seems to be the quickest way to prevent someone from buying these puppies. So since NJSPCA was supposed to visit these places yesterday, here is all the info: Store #1 - Puppy Palace Although I only went to one location, apparently they have two. This store was the worst. Dirty food and water bowls and 8-10 pups per pen. No happy barks, puppy fights which were ignored, and I was told there were MORE pups in the BACK! To top it all off the stench was horrible. All pups were in boxes full of litter, no seperate bathroom area and nowhere for the feces/urine to go. So you know it was ending up in those food bowls. No blankets and NO TOYS! Puppies just laying in piles; not playing. 1265 Blackwood-Clementon Road Clementon, NJ 08021 856-782-7722 and 386 White Horse Pike Atco, NJ 08004 856-768-2077 Puppy Palace - Home Store #2 - The Puppy Stop This store was a little better... but not by much. They also sold larger breeds. There was a little more litter in the pens which took care of some of the smell, but no seperate potty area. Dogs layed in their own excrement. Not that I'm a fan of cages, but at least the waste falls through the bottom. In the litter, it just stays there and ends up in the food and water. The pens were less crowded, 6pups at most in a pen. Food and water was still dirty. 1 pen had toys but not others, and there were still no blankets to cuddle in. So the pups all layed in piles to keep warm. But what really killed me was the bin of older pups marked "CLEARANCE any puppy in this bin $250." Makes me sick. 138 Fries Mill Rd.
