| Unlearned to be friendly? Questions for my YTers out there.... Since the cold weather hit the NYC area, I dont get to walk Duke as much as I usually do during the other seasons. Now when I take him out, he pulls ont he leash more and barks at other pets/people more than he usually does. He is also more difficult to control once he starts barking. I'm considering about taking him to an obidience class but is is possible for him to unlearn his friendly behaviors? And since he knows the sit/stay/come commands, should I still enroll him in the basic basic class? Thanks

| I know our 3 get very 'strong' when they haven't been out walking for awhile. And sometimes it takes nearly the whole walk to get them to settle down and be the good kids I know they are. So part of it is probably because he's not getting out as much as he's use to. With the bad weather and all, could you go to a pet store or some other business and walk around until he settles down and remembers how to behave? I try to get my 3 out to someplace with people at least once a week, just so that they remember the world does not revolve around them. Shocking, I know, but sometimes they do need to be reminded of this. Maybe the obedience class would help, not so much for the training, but just because it will get him out and interacting with others.

| It couldn't hurt to take him to classes. I wouldn't go to the beginners class, as he seems to know a lot of the commands they would teach. Usually they have a phone number where you can call the instructor. Give him/her a call, and see what advice you get.
