| Yorkie puppy born at 1oz...normal? Hello Yorkie Lovers! I have a question...and I hope someone can help me I have a little female Yorkie that weighed 1oz. at birth. I am wanting to know if this is normal? Her brothers and sisters all weighed closer to 4-5oz. They are 4 weeks old now and she is eating fine and keeping up with the others, but she is SO tiny. Is 1oz. a normal birthweight? I checked out some different weigh charts I have found, but they all start at a 2.5oz. birth weigh so that doesn't help me. How big to you think she will be? Thanks for your help... |

| Birth weight does not always translate to adult weight. As long as she has no genetic defects or other health problems she may be a very normal size when grown although probably on the smaller side. A 1oz birth weight is very unusual but if she is now 4 weeks old sounds like she is doing fine. Post some photos with her siblings please. |

Oooooh, always wanting to see puppy pictures! I found it a little tricky to figure out the photo thang at first too, dont worry, you're not on your own with taht one! But it's actually very easy once you know how. If you open up a 'new thread' in the photo section, then once you've written whatever you wanna write, click on the little 'paperclip' icon in the tool box on the top of the box you've just written in. (Hope that makes sense! lol ) A new box will pop up, then you can clcik on the 'browse' and then you just navigate to where you keep your photos on your hard drive. Then click 'upload'. Close that box and hit the 'paperclip' symbol again and you can just click on 'attatch all'. Good luck, cant wait to see the piccies! Jess | |

| Congradulations on your litter! it sounds like you have a special little girl. My Rocky was born a little under an 1oz and he grew to be about 4 lbs, in the picture of him as a newborn he was the size of a woman's thumb. But the same breeder had another tiny girl born about same size and she will only be about 2 lbs. I can't wait to see pictures!
