| My new baby!!! Hi all! I Just wanted to introduce myself, Kasey, and my new lil baby, Zima! My husband and i bought him home 3 days ago! He's our wedding and Christmas present to eachother and now we couldn't imagine our life without him! I have put so much effort into getting him, 5 months of reading, research and pre-ordering of stuff and i tell you what, I feel so much better for it! I have realised that they are def not a dog you just decide to purchase one day without any preperation! Nothing prepares you for how fragile they are! Zima is such a good boy - he sleeps ALL night long and i seem to be the one waking him in the morning for kisses and cuddles! He's nearly fully potty trained..... He wee's on his pads 60% of the time but always poo's on them.... So i guess we're doing well as i heard they were quite hard to train! But as i don't work i have all the time and patience in the world for him! This forum has been great for any 1st time Mummy paranoia moments i have had! so THANKS heaps!!! |

| Welcome...that is so cool about the potty training. And I agree, yorkie's seem to be hard to train. My Jack is almost 1 yr old and he goes to the door when he needs out. I did the pee pads for awhile, but they were costly. He still has accidents in the house sometimes, but at least it's near the door. At night he tries to wake me when he needs out, but sometimes mommy doesn't always get up, which is my fault. I'm proud of him though b/c I work all the time and don't get to spend as much time with them.

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk & Congratulations on your new addition. What a perfect wedding/Christmas gift.... now you have a family! Can't wait to see lots of pictures of him. Good for you that you have done some study before getting him to help prepare you, and you can continue to learn so much here on Yorkie Talk.
