| Sibling Rivalry My Two Puppies Mike and Zach are growing and are a barrel of laughs But one thing perplexes me They have more toys and chewies than you can imagine BUT the one they HAVE to have is the one the other one is playing with I can distract one with their favorite toy but as soon as one gets sight of the other with the toy off they go ... That's the one they gotta have Anybody else see this kind of behavior? They fight but it's always play fighting every once in a while there's a yelp but each of them get more surprised when it happens

| Sibling Rivals We've noticed the same thing at our house when Monster was alive. If Annie had a toy it wouldn't do until he had it, no matter that we had a basket full of other toys, he would stand there and grawl at her till she would let him have it. That or it was tug a war till he won. Elane |

| It's comical to see them trotting down the hall together side by side with a toy between them before one gets it away from the other .... And the the CHASE begins

| JoeyP - It's the exact same situation with my pups! Not even with toys but with treats. I feed them both the same treats but as soon as my small pup see's her big sister with a treat, she drops her treat and has to make a run for that one. Or even the case, I have given my baby pup a treat and she doesn't want it but as soon as her older sister is about to come grab it, the little one has to eat it before her sister gets to it. It's comical and entertaining to watch how they always want to have what the other one has! =) |

| I have exactly the same problem with my two. If I give them both a chew Poppy is happy with hers but Charlie takes no notice of his and tries to steal hers, cue mayhem! However they are both the same with toys particularly if I am trying to give one to them, because it's in my hand they think I'm going to play. On the other hand if I try to get them to play with a toy Poppy loses interest and sulks as soon as Charlie joins in! |

| Toby and Rudy are exactly the same. Toby was going on 2 years old when we got Rudy in November. There were toys and bones that Toby hadn't touched since he got them.... but now that Rudy is here playing with them, Toby wants them all. We are lucky though, they get along very well and Toby is very patient....but everything on the floor has become a pull toy between the two of them

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | Yes! My "twins" Phantom & Brandi are the exact same way. I went out and bought multiples of every toy, but they only want the one that the other one has!! They are 14 months old now, and they are still the same way!

YT Addict | My dogs are the same way, poor Lexi never gets to hold on to a toy for very long before one of the other dogs steals it. When our dobbie was a puppy, Lucy (old golden retriever) would always steal her toys! She would stash them in the corner behind the couch then once she had them all she would sit and guard. Lucy never destroyed toys until more dogs were added to the household. Now its like a race to see who can pull the stuffing out first. |

| Just like us humans, I guess. Always wanting what we don't have, regardless of how much we do have. Gracie Ruth will steal Yogi's toy and jump up on the couch with it. Yogi can't get up on the couch yet, so she knows she's safe from him stealing it back. He'll give up barking at her and go get another out of the toy box. And of course, that is the one she wants now. She'll jump down, steal it from him and jump back up on the couch. Eventually she ends up with nearly all the toys on the couch. Yogi has figured this out and will now simply lay on the toys in the toy box, thus claiming them all for himself. It is hysterical to watch and listen to them play/fight with each other. Who'd of thought 2 such small dogs could make so much noise!
