| One year old!! Baxter will be one on Sunday! We got him in February. The first 6 months nearly killed me and I threatened to give him away twice a day. He has calmed down a lot and now hardly ever has to go out to potty at night. He still doesn't believe in taking naps during the day time and if we sleep past 5:30 he's bouncing us awake. I guess he thinks we forgot to set the alarm. All in all though I am thrilled with my baby and he seems thrilled with me. He is still very attached to me and will fight to get to me if someone else in the room picks him up. The potty training has gone fairly well and he never has an accident when he's home alone in the bathroom. He stays in the master bath while I'm at work. He will play fetch for hours. He and my outside dog get along fine. Baxter weighs 6 1/2 lbs and Lucky (outside) weighs about 50 lbs but he is very patient with Baxter. (although they are never left alone together) I'm glad I stuck it out and kept him. He brings us great joy and is a smart little boy. |

| Happy Birthday Baxter! It is so nice to read posts like this. Mine is only 6 months old and there are times when I stop believing things like being potty trained will ever really happen. It is good to hear others have come out the other side and can actually forget the irritating moments of puppyhood.
