| Thats really odd. I imagine you do the same thing as if they fall forward. Shave them and tape them up.

| I've never heard of the tips going back either. I would tape them also. |

| When we first got Olivia the tips of her ears were back. I joked around saying that she was my little over-achiever- she didn't just get them up, she got them back! Her ears went straight up after a week or so- gradually. (Of course, now one ear tip is forward and we're patiently waiting for that to go back up!) Here are a few pictures of Olivia when she first came home and her ears were back. Tell your friend to be patient- they'll go up! |

| Both of Duncan's ears were tipped backwards. Now one is straight up and the other one is still tipped backwards. When I feel his erected ear it feels pretty strong and solid. But the flopped ear still feels pretty flimsy. He is still teething though. I've been giving him a tablespoon of cottage cheese every morning with his meal. |

| Cottage cheese adds calcium to their diet and therefore helps the cartilage in their ears. |

| Stomper's did the same thing!! Now they went back down..I asked my vet about that (it looked silly). She told me it happens when they are teething and could happen up to a year old. Well...I don't know how true that statement was but his ears went back down after he was done teething!!!

| My friends pup is 18 weeks old. He is so cute. Her vet told her he never heard of tapping a Yorkies ears, that it was a genetic defect. That just goes to show that like Dr's, vets are not always that bright. She does give him cottage cheese every morning. Thanks for the reply's.
