| Show or pet cut? Long Or docked tails? I notice a lot of puppies on here with long tails I have never before seen a yorkie with a long tail. How many of you have long tails, or natural tails? I also think the show cut, or the LONG haired yorkies are adorable. When I adopted Bridgette she had the LONG hair I just couldn't keep up with it. Brushing about 25 times a day, bathing every couple of days. Since we are not showing her I see no need in it! How many out there prefer the short Yorkie cut? Why?

| Turky has a docked tail and we will keep him in a 'puppy cut'(he's a no-fuss kind of guy). I'll probably let the hair grow on his face though...it needs to be pulled up out of his eyes. I don't know if it bothers him, but it makes me nutso just looking at it. lol |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | We recently got the facial hair cut, but he has kept the long coat, and topknot. Joey's hair is really great, I spend a couple minutes in the morning brushing it, and that's it. He hasn't really tangled much since he was a puppy. I love both looks; and recently saw some of Joey's relatives, who had shaved hair on their bodies, but long hair on their legs, and just loved that look; it was adorable, and if his hair were harder to take care of, that is the look I would like.

| My Hercules had a docked tail when we got him, which I prefer. He is 5 months old, but plan on keeping him in a puppy cut. We keep the hair on his face a little longer, but the hair on top is short enough to not have to put it in a knot, my husband like to put a mohawk in it!! http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/7955/img0185ly0.jpg |

| I think they look like teddy bears with the short cut, and that's why I like the short cuts better. They just are so cuddley and cute. Long hair definitely gives a totally different feel/style. I think long hair is "beautiful" while the short cut is cute. |

| Mollys hair tends to matt badly if it gets too long, but i love the puppy cut so its all good! I would much rather see a dog with a long waggy tail, than a docked tail. I have to say that I think docking is cruel and totally unneccessary, but that is just my opinion!! |

| Bella's tail is docked, I just love her little nub. I like her in a puppycut with a short face cut but I like to leave the top long enough for a bow. I cut it real short in summer (she was so happy and bouncy when she came home shaved this summer) and leave it a little longer in winter (for warmth). |

| I've only trimmed Myah a few times...she just turned 1 this week. She has the longer hair right now. Hubby wants her to be shorter, so I'm still debating on it. Her hair is silky/straight and really pretty right now, but with the snow and having to put on sweaters, her hair gets matted on her belly. Her tail is docked with long hair. I'm also trying to figure out how to trim the tail hair. Hubby says it is too long, but I do keep her trimmed so we don't have poops hanging. I don't know if I should cut the hair on the bottom of her tail or leave it. I think they all look cute no matter if they have a short or long hairdo or a long or short tail. |
