| Took breeders advise and her ears are up! Well my breeder emailed me asking how Leila was doing in her new home and everything. I emailed her back says she was doing great but her ears had fallen and what I could do about it. SHe told me to tape them and leave them for 24 hours then give them a break and retape if they fall again. She said they fall sometimes when they leave their litter. Well i taped Leila's ears yesterday and this morning they were both UP!! YAY she looks so beautiful! Here are some pics.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | That's so cool that it worked and even cooler that your breeder cared enough to follow up after the sale.

| hi! So happy her ears are up! As a breeder myself, I have found that the ears go up-down as the puppy cuts new teeth. The calcium needed for the teeth takes away from the ear cartilage - so the ears go up-down! Taping may need to be repeated. Another option is to cut out a form the shape and size of the ear opening, (mailla folder works best), and then fold it in 1/2 lengthwise. Buy some human eyelash glue at the store (water solluble) kind, then glue the folder paper to the ear. As the hair grows, then you can remove the paper and the ears stay up. They tend to scratch at taped ears, but they won't with the paper forms. Hope they stay up this time, she is an absolute doll face! Rizzi |
