| Why is my yorkie look greasy?? If anyone can help I would appriciate it. My 3 month old Bia is sooo sweet and luvable, but sometimes her hair looks so dirty that I dont want to touch her I just want to put her into the sink and bathe her again. But I hug her anyways because i know you cant bathe them everyday. I clean her with oatmeal shampoo, spray her with moisturizing conditioner, and comb her out. she looks cleans, smells clean, and feels clean. But then the next day her hair looks and feels all oily or greasy. Why?? If it's normal then okay I'll accept it, but if you think she might have like a skin problem or something please let me know. Thanks!! |

| Maybe it's what you are using on her. It takes time to find the right combination. I don't use conditioner on Maddie, because the next day she will look greasy, Rudy has a different coat and I use it on him. Polly my 6 month old I am still trying to figure out what works on her. I bought a lot of shampoo and conditioner before I started using Chris Christensen system, and I think it is the best.

| How much of the spray conditioner are you using ....try to just lightly mist the coat and see if that hels....my guess is too much conditioner.

| I have the same problem with Teddy. I use the Chris system's shampoo and the conditioner but I never put the conditioner on his head because it sucks enough to have to rinse it once much less twice. He looks great for a day or two but after that his head looks like he is part grease monkey to me too. It kind of drives me crazy because he still even smells clean and his body is fine it's just his head. I take so much time grooming him every day and I hate that when you look at him it gives off the appearance that he is unkept because he isn't. I guess I will watch this thread for any suggestions....

| Guess what? Are any of you petting your pets with hand lotion on your own hands? That will make them greasy in a flash. I know, I did it. |

| Heidi usually looks greasy about 1 or 2 days after her bath. I can't figure out if I'm putting too much conditioner on her or if my family just has really oily hands! It's not cute! Her hair also looks darker when it's oily. Yuck. |

| I use a spray on conditioner every day when I brush the babies. I use the baby powder scent because I love them to smell like babies. I do not use a wash in conditioner at all. They don't seem to grease up, I also use the Lubriderm non-greasy hand lotion.
